Central Operations Department has many vital and important functions:

• Coordinate with the competent departments in the Ministry of Interior to set up security plans of the operations, follow-up its implementation to ensure the daily security presence in the events locations and cover the events, ceremonies and official visits.
• Receive calls and complaints of various incidents around the clock, report them to the competent authorities and follow-up its results.
• Connect and coordinate between the various governmental and private authorities such as ministries, bodies, institutions and other security authorities in the State during major incidents, crises and disasters.
• Circulate information of wanted people or banned people from entering or exiting the State upon a request from the competent authorities.
• Prepare periodical reports, analyze statistics on accidents, report them to the competent authorities, save, document and update information including the Black List and ensure its confidentiality, and provide the security departments with the required security information.
• Propose the annual budget of the Department.
• Any other tasks assigned to them.
